Dr. Mark McKenna is the creator of innovative aesthetic enhancement company, OVME. Just opened its doors in March of 2018 in Buckhead, Atlanta, OVME has produced many incredible results on patients since its start and word of mouth has showered the community and both women and men have flocked. The business offers both aesthetic enhancement treatment services and retail products through a system of on-the-call delivery Botox services similar to the concept of Uber. What a great and creative addition to the Atlanta community by Dr. Mark Mckenna.
Dr. Mark Mckenna has always had the drive to be an entrepreneur. His mom and dad were both entrepreneurs. His dad started his own medical practice and his mom started her own publishing company. So growing up, Dr. Mark McKenna always saw the possibility of making a success out of your own ideas and effort. After graduating with a medical degree from Tulsa University, he would work out of his dad’s practice, but he would also start his own real estate business in process, which his dad would help him on and they would take the business to a multi-million dollar worth. He would continue to build the business for advancement, time after time again, before it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Dr. Mark McKenna would rebuild in Atlanta and start another business, a wellness center, ShapeMed – he would also take this business to a multi-million dollar status as well. He would sell the business to Lifetime Fitness, Inc. for $4.4 million [$4.4 million dollars was a very generous offer]. Afterwards, he would start OVME. His drive to succeed as an entrepreneur was great and it served him well.
OVME is thriving very well in its beginning stages. Great skincare products, innovative aesthetic enhancement technology and house-call Botox services, a very unique business, unlike anything anyone has ever seen before. A large collection of services that helps patients become more comfortable in their own skin – face, body, health and skin services for both men and women, specifically speaking, Botox® and Dysport®; hair removal and weight loss; B-12 shots and hydration therapy; erectile dysfunctional medications and much more.

After completing his undergraduate studies successfully at Harvard University where he graduated with a medical degree, Dr.Mark Mofid, famous for boosting patients’ esteems with appropriately appealing reconstructive procedures, joined John Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he got certified with Advanced Craniofacial Research. Before earning his spot as an established surgeon, Dr.Mofid obtained his certification from The American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and The American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Mofid serves as a professor in the clinical division of the University of California and also offers reconstructive surgery to survivors of skin cancer, traumatic facial repairs, and breast cancer. His scholarly writing on various cosmetic procedures has seen him published in reputable journals like ‘Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’, giving him a presentation platform at different clinical conferences within and outside the U.S.
Mark Mofid knew he wanted to pursue a career in reconstructive and plastic surgery when he saw first-hand how significantly a patient’s esteem got boosted. Saying he receives referrals from previous happy patients, he adds that his career makes him good money primarily because he is well known for being meticulous in his procedures. According to him, surgery is a calling that requires patience, integrity and self-drive. Giving an example of when he turned down his long-time patient’s request to have her implants enlarged, he says such a career requires a high standard of work ethics, putting the patients’ health before money. Dr.Mark Mofid is committed to innovation and says he would like to give hope to cancer survivors, adding that he’d like them to know there is hope in the future, thanks to the innovative technologies he and his team members are about to adopt.
Advising that a good plastic and reconstructive surgeon ought to be realistic, Dr. Mark Mofid urges patients to ensure that the targeted surgeon has certifications from the American Board of Plastic Surgery. The most inspiring business book to him is Simon Sinek’s ‘Leaders Eat Last’ which addresses the importance of teamwork, echoing his view that a patient will either live or die in the hospital depending upon the level of cooperation.
You may be wondering, who is Mark Mofid? You may even have heard of his name in the world of plastic surgery or in other related press.
Dr. Mark Mofid is a plastic surgeon based out of the Greater San Diego area. Besides having his own practice, he is also known as a staff surgeon at numerous hospitals in the San Diego area.
He is board-certified in his area to practice plastic surgery and he is known locally and nationally for his cutting-edge techniques. Dr. Mofid specializes mainly in the plastic surgery and augmentation of the face, breasts, skin, body, and buttocks. In fact, he recently was interviewed by Plastic Surgery Practice for an article about the safety and techniques of buttock implants.
In the article, Dr. Mofid says, “The first step is to believe that buttocks implants when well done, have an amazingly low rate of complications and wonderful results”.
Even though buttock implants and other forms of plastic surgery have become very popular in America in this day and age, Dr. Mark Mofid sticks to his ethics and uses only the safest, best-proven techniques to complete the surgeries from start to finish. He has been praised publicly for his methods and even owns his own practice that serves patients in the San Diego and La Jolla areas. His goal is to perform these procedures to achieve a natural-looking effect. He also is heavily involved in providing reconstructive procedures to patients who may have endured life and body-altering trauma.
Dr. Mark Mofid attended school at the prestigious Harvard University.
Harvard was only where he received his undergraduate degree. He finished medical school and then had a wonderfully educational fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as a clinical faculty member of the University of California.
