OSI Industries Grows Beyond Just Meat Production

OSI Industries has 55 meat processing plants located all across the world, and in each region they serve they partner with local farmers and supermarket chains to deliver products that match what customers in that region want. As the main supplier to McDonald’s and their restaurants, OSI Industries has put a lot of effort into food engineering and developed mass distribution capabilities. Just this last year two high-technology processing plants were opened in the Philippines and Spain with two of OSI Industries’ partners GenOSI and OSI Spain. Most of OSI Industries’ products are meat, but they’ve expanded to other produce and baked goods now. They have a selection of tofu, potpies, vegetable entrees and other non-meat products that their research teams put together.

OSI Industries is headquartered in Chicago and it’s where it was begun in 1909. Otto Kolschowsky, a butcher started with a small shop that was turned into a large market center. His sons stayed involved in its management as he grew older and they took over, and hence their market center became known as Otto & Sons. After becoming the main meat supplier to McDonald’s, they began their endeavors to increase their processed meat output by building plants with advanced assembly lines. The man who helped Otto & Sons get the capital to build the plants was Sheldon Lavin, and he became a substantially larger part of the company in the next few years. Recognizing his financial knowledge and ability to plan for long-term growth, the Kolschowskys decided to make him the CEO of the company. As Lavin took over, the company then bought several other plants and it made its way into South America, Europe and Asia and changed its name to OSI Industries.

In addition to having plants and office buildings in its own name, OSI Industries has also bought several other wholesale companies like Baho Food and Flagship Europe. Its meats are also imported from farms like Amick Farms and Fair Oaks Farms, and along with McDonald’s they’ve also supplied meats to restaurant franchises like Subway and Pizza Hut. OSI Industries has been ranked in the top 10 of meat companies along with the likes of Tyson Foods and Perdue. The executives of OSI Industries also chair the board of the Ronald McDonald House Charities and other charities in Chicago. They also received a prestigious award from the British Safety Council for food safety adherence.

Clayton Hutson Takes Sound Engineer Very Seriously

Clayton Hutson has become the sound engineer that major stars like Maxwell, Pink and Marilyn Manson go to when they want the best quality for their shows. He has become someone that has taken on multiple roles at certain times, and this has allowed him to gain the attention of even more people in the business. There are musicians like Kid Rock that have been able to take interest in his skills as a sound engineer.

When it comes to being successful in the music business there are some things that people must take account of if they are working behind the scenes. The first thing that a sound engineer production manager needs to be concerned about is the safety of the stars that are taking the stage. This means that any type of trip hazard should be taken care of. The lighting issues should not be anything that will cause harm to the star or the band that is performing.

There are also other things to keep in mind when music production is in place. The sound is going to be very important. It totally throws off the show and makes the audience very disgruntled when the sound engineer has not done their job. Mic checks and checks for the music instruments should all be handled so that the show will run smoothly.

People that are on tour are going to want someone that is able to produce results. They are going to be much more likely to use this person again if this is someone that knows how to get things done quickly and efficiently. In many instances artists that are on will make a request for the same sound engineer as they move to another tour date in the city. They will often use the same engineer throughout the tour if they are satisfied with the work that is being done. Learn more: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Clay/Hutson
